Things To Do With Your Kids On Valentine's Day

Tea parties, sparkling cider, and Disney movies are just a few options.

There are plenty of fun, creative activities that families can do together on Valentine's Day. One of the most obvious ways to spend Valentine's with your kids is to make meals an event. Berry smoothies for breakfast or lunch put the family in the colorful holiday mood, and sparkling cider and a candlelit dinner feel very sophisticated.

Another food-related activity is a tea party. These were very popular when I was a young girl, and they're still a wonderful option for kids. Strawberry-flavored anything, cute sugar cookies, and pink lemonade are all fun tea party menu items: and if you want some special guests, invite your kids' stuffed animals to join.

A family movie night is a simple and fun option - and kids' Valentine films abound, actually. And you need look no further than Disney: Beauty and the Beast and the 2015 remake of Cinderella are just a couple of examples.

Showing love to someone in the community is another way to celebrate Valentine's. As a family, prepare food, a card, and/or flowers for an elderly person in your neighborhood or church. Though unconventional, it's one of the most beautiful things to do to celebrate the holidays.
