Although the stretch of time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is about a month, it usually flies by in a stream of parties, shopping, and hosting family. But the holiday season is a perfect opportunity to spend some time with your mom, despite the business.
One easy way to spend quality time with your mother is to use activities that already happen around Christmas - and spend them with her. Parents.com writer Caroline Rogers suggests taking a day trip together and wrapping presents with Mom. Last-minute gift shopping is inevitably going to happen anyway, and everyone has to wrap presents - so why not spend that time with her?
You can also make memories in the kitchen. Christmas requires baking desserts and cooking large family recipes, so slip into the kitchen with Mom and help her make something old or new.
