Since the advent of athleisure wear (athletic wear that is not actually designed for working out), it’s become socially acceptable to wear our yoga pants all day. Moms everywhere are now rejoicing because we finally don’t have to choose between comfort and fashion.
And who hasn’t simply crawled exhausted into bed at the end of the day without changing into pajamas? Because, well, I’m tired and I can’t be bothered!
Our sense of respectability has a tendency to take a back seat during those early years of motherhood (not to mention, our regular accessory of baby spit-up on our shirts). Besides, who other than our husbands is going to know we slept in our clothes, and haven’t they already seen us at our worst?
Some of Baby’s miniature outfits can be completely impractical, and since she spends so much time sleeping and getting her diaper changed, it’s important for her clothes to be uncomplicated as well as relaxed. The good news is, you don’t have to choose between fashion and function for Baby either.
