It's Time For Dads To Have Better Work-Life Balance

Working dads look to achieve same level of understanding as working mom.

Balancing a career and family is an art, and one we often think of the mother tackling. However, a mother’s increased role in the workplace and becoming an equal provider at home has produced a father who is striving to find work-life balance too.

Dads are picking up kids, cooking dinner and handling homework, while mom is wrapping up meetings at the office. With this shift in today’s family dynamic we need to acknowledge that men want family time too. They need to leave that meeting early to catch baseball practice or ballet class.

The dads of today continue to change the traditional father figure. They are heavily involved and engaged in the lives of their children. They do housework and laundry because we all know mom can’t do it all. Mom and Dad have become equal partners at home and in careers, making the need to achieve a healthy work-life balance crucial for both parents. Moms have done a great job bringing this issue to light for the working mom, but now we need to achieve that same level of understanding for the working dad.
