Best Way to Do Disney Over the Holidays

Different decorations, events, and food light up Disney's Christmas season.

One Florida family frequently visits Disney World: they live an hour and a half from the Orlando complex. Mom Terri Peters shared her holiday Disney recommendations with TODAY, explaining different desserts, decorations, and events that take place at Disney, starting in November.

In the Magic Kingdom, one highlight is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Tickets per person cost one hundred dollars, and the party entry lasts from 4:00 PM until midnight. Dance parties and character appearances make this party, though expensive, a worthwhile investment.

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, parents and children can attend "A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration," which features some of the main characters from the movie. And Epcot allows the adults to enjoy some drinks, as the World Showcase becomes an International Festival of the Holidays. Each of the countries around the lake features a traditional holiday dish.

Animal Kingdom, though it has fewer Christmas events, allows visitors to take a photo of Mickey and Minnie in their Christmas outfits. According to Peters, this is the easiest park in which to get this picture. Click here for Peters' full rundown of Disney Christmas highlights.
