Paris Babymoon

I spoke with Sonia from Le Cinq Codet, a luxurious and serene lodging choice on the peaceful Left Bank. She shares,

"The quiet atmosphere and sleek design are the perfect scenery to enjoy a Parisian Babymoon. Our patio is an hidden gem to enjoy great menus created by chef Antoine K'ros - only very fresh and local products. Privacy is the statement of the hotel, and the best place to get a rest with a wonderful view are the suite's terraces. The panorama is stunning. Very close to the hotel is the Rodin Museum - even if you are not found of sculpture, the garden of this museum is a blissful place where you can enjoy tea-time."

Visitors can also enjoy a romantic, hand-holding stroll along the banks of River Seine, and Saturday evening jazz at the hotel.

Make sure to visit the beautiful Trocadero Park to take some fantastic preggo pics with La Tour Eiffel as the backdrop! Consider hiring a Flytographer to make the most of your moment. Don't miss the stunning Musée d'Orsay, constructed in a stunning piece of architecture, an old train station.

Sleep Under the Stars in Ireland

The Emerald Isle beckons romance, especially if you sleep in a transparent bubble dome in the Finn Lough Resort in Northern Ireland, in Fermanagh, near Enniskillen.

According to their site,

"The Forest Domes feature 180° transparent walls, allowing you to truly immerse yourself within the beauty and tranquility of nature. Escape the noise of the outside world and enjoy stargazing in comfort for the perfect romantic break in Northern Ireland."

We're planning our own Emerald Isle trip this summer and the advice I've received from Jody at Ireland Family Vacations has been invaluable. Her site is full of fantastic itineraries to make your travels spectacular.

Jody chimes in about her thoughts on an Irish babymoon,

"A babymoon getaway is the final time you will be a couple, your last chance (for a few years) to take a romantic vacation for two. And Ireland, a land made of romance, is a perfect choice. Across the country you’ll find hauntingly beautiful castles built in the name of love, ballads being sung of love lost and found, even one of Ireland’s most recognized symbols, the Claddagh, was created in the name of love. From dramatic walks atop ocean cliffs designed by wind and water, to candlelit castle dinners, Ireland offers idea getaways to celebrate the creation of love shared by two people."

The Palm Beaches

Speaking from years of experience in my own back yard, the Palm Beaches have more than enough romance, escape, and activities for a couple on a babymoon.

“Expecting parents will find this destination is perfect for a babymoon,” said Ashley Svarney, a new mom and Senior Director of Public Relations & Communications for Discover The Palm Beaches, the official tourism marketing organization for Palm Beach County. “The Palm Beaches offer everything: beachfront resorts and tropical boutique hotels, private poolside cabanas, world-renowned spas for a heavenly pre-natal massage, a booming farm-fresh dining scene, charming towns to explore on foot and vibrant cultural activities for those seeking quality entertainment. Best of all, it’s simple to get around - making it an uncomplicated process to enjoy this variety of things to do.”

Make sure to visit the downtown green market on a Saturday morning for tasty treats. Maybe treat yourself to a photo shoot in front of the Jupiter lighthouse or the Juno Beach pier. Get out on the water and relax in the sand under an umbrella. The Palm Beaches are sure to please, and (at the time of this posting) have been cleared by the CDC for Zika-safe travel.

Wherever your babymoon takes you, may it be surrounded by love, adventure, and peace before your life is forever changed. Just don't let having a baby stop you from traveling. You can travel with baby, too!

*Be sure to check the CDC website for Zika alerts before you embark on any travel while pregnant.
